Our reservation-based calf-feeding activity has been restructured to provide a more enjoyable experience for all, including visitors and calves. Calf feeding has become a high-demand experience on our farm. We felt there was room for improvement on this unique experience. We now include a host who will meet everyone participating in the calf feeding and serve as a point of contact in case of needing to reschedule or to answer any questions about the calves, the farm, etc. Our host will help guide guests with important information to keep the calves and guests safe while feeding the calves. We have a limited amount of calf feeding tickets per day. During the summer, calf feeding is open for reservations every day at 4pm. This allows guests to plan out when they will visit the farm as well as guarantee they will have a bottle to feed a calf. Included with booking reservations for calf-feeding is a self-guided tour book for visitors to use as they explore our farm.
The funds from the calf feeding tickets are used to help cover the cost of the host, the reservation-based ticket system, and are used to add or improve on other features at the farm. For example, the new playground that was installed! We are also exploring the development of additional farm experiences, which we hope to add in the near future. If you have any further farm-related questions or about any activities or events that happen on our farm, please feel free to reach out to our Customer Service Team at customerservice@smcdairy.com.
